How long does it need to charge, and how long will it stay on?

Charge the solar panel under direct sunlight for 6 to 8 hours. After a full charge, the 1,200mAh battery provides up to 12 hours of lighting. Actual charging and runtime depend on sunlight strength, panel angle, weather, shade, and the lighting mode you select.

Is it waterproof?

Solar String Bulbs carry an IP44 rating, which protects against splashing water and normal outdoor conditions. The set is built for outdoor use in gardens, patios, and terraces. It should not be submerged in water or exposed to flooding.

Will the lights still charge on cloudy days?

Yes. The monocrystalline panel can continue collecting energy from daylight when the sky is cloudy. However, charging will be slower and the lights may not stay on as long as they would after a full day of direct sunlight.

Why are the lights not turning on when I test them?

The built-in sensor keeps the bulbs off while it detects daylight or bright surroundings, so the set will not light up indoors under room lighting or outdoors during the day. To test it, cover the solar panel completely or bring the set into a dark area. This is normal operation and does not mean the unit is defective.
