OUR STORY

it started with
one solar light

Solar Manila started in 2020, when founder Lee Estavillo was selling different products online. One of them was a simple Solar Bulb Lamp. As more customers bought it, he began looking deeper into the solar lighting market.

What he found was a problem many Filipino families faced: confusing specifications, exaggerated claims, weak batteries, small solar panels, and sellers that were difficult to reach after the sale. Buying solar should not have to feel like a gamble.

That pushed Lee to build Solar Manila around better products, clearer information, and support customers could rely on.

There was also a personal connection. Years earlier, Lee’s father had planned to enter the solar business himself. As Solar Manila grew, Lee found himself continuing a path his father had once imagined, now with a mission of helping Filipino families choose solar with greater confidence and peace of mind.

The problem was never a lack of solar lights online. It was knowing which ones you could actually rely on.

We believed Filipino customers deserved better information and better support.
